Maria Ivy (Before marriage) was born and raised in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio. A city riddled with crime and corruption. Raised by a single mother and older brother, Maria grew up fast. She was sharp, resilient, and fiercely independent. Determined to break away from a system that always seemed stacked against her, she enlisted in the military at age 18.

During her time in the special forces, Maria proved herself to be one of the deadliest and smartest soldiers in her unit. Her precision as a sniper, genius-level tech mind, and hand-to-hand combat training made her a force to be reckoned with. It was there she met Michael Brooks, a fellow elite soldier with a commanding presence and a haunted past.

They fell in love during the chaos of war, building a bond forged in fire and blood. After returning home, they married and tried to create a new life together, opening a private security firm in the city they called home.

But their peace was shattered when Maria became a tragic victim of Cleveland’s growing gang violence. Shot in the stomach during a random attack by one of the Heartless Killas, Maria lost their unborn child. The event left deep emotional and physical scars, pushing her into a spiral of grief, guilt, and silent rage.

Unbeknownst to her, Michael became Night Reaper, waging war against the city’s darkest forces. But when Maria eventually uncovered the truth, she didn’t walk away… she suited up.

Now, as Shadow, she joins her husband in the war for Cleveland’s soul. Armed with her pain, her brilliance, and her fury, she operates in the dark, making sure the city’s criminals never see her coming.
